Catherine Braslavsky and Joseph Rowe perform in "From Jerusalem to Cordoba," a celebration of the musical and mystical traditions of the Mediterranean, from ancient Judaism and Paganism, to medieval Christianity and Islam. It has played throughout Europe and in the United States, including a Dec. 3, 2010, performance at St. David's Episcopal Church in Austin. Braslavsky has dedicated her life to the performance of sacred music. She studied classical voice as well as Gregorian and Medieval chant and South Indian classical music, and has performed in major concert halls in France. Rowe has studied classical guitar and Middle Eastern oud and has performed with Arab, Persian, and African musicians,with medieval groups, with musicians from the Congo (percussion, flute), with Mideastern dervishes (percussion, voice, oud), and with Afro-Brazilian percussionists and healers.
